Privacy Policy

Educed Moment is an independent game studio operated by Tristen MacPherson in Saskatoon, Canada. This policy covers games developed and published by Educed Moment, including web versions hosted on platforms such as Poki, as well as native desktop and mobile releases.

What we collect

Our games do not require an account, do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.

• Multiplayer connections. When you play a multiplayer session, your device connects to our game server infrastructure (hosted on Fly.io). Your IP address is processed transiently in memory solely to route game packets, manage room instances, and maintain connection state. It is not stored in persistent databases, not used for advertising, and not used to profile or identify you.
• Anonymous gameplay & technical telemetry. To improve game stability, debug crashes, and balance gameplay systems, our games may send anonymous diagnostic and event metrics to our servers (hosted on Fly.io). This data may include technical performance metrics (such as framerate, rendering backend/WebGPU fallback status, error/crash reports) and aggregate gameplay milestones (such as room transitions, completed stages, or session duration). This telemetry is strictly anonymous, contains no personal information, is not linked to individual user identities, and does not use persistent cross-site tracking identifiers or fingerprinting.
• Local save data. Single-player progress, settings, and gameplay states are stored locally on your device (for example, in browser LocalStorage or IndexedDB). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Optional study & feedback features. If a specific research build or experimental game includes optional text prompts or feedback fields, such data is only transmitted if you explicitly choose to submit it within the game. We request and ensure that no personal information is included in these submissions.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not run third-party advertising networks, cross-site trackers, or user fingerprinting technologies.
• We do not collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of consent in your region), in compliance with COPPA, GDPR, and platform developer policies.

Third-party platforms & services

When you play our games on third-party platforms such as Poki, those platforms may collect data (such as platform analytics or ad delivery telemetry) under their own privacy policies. This privacy policy applies solely to games, network servers, and direct services operated by Educed Moment.

Data retention and your rights

Because we do not store personal profiles or accounts, there is generally no personal data retained to access or delete. If you have submitted feedback or have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this policy, please reach out to us and we will promptly assist you.
